St. John offers First Communion classes to any student 6th grade or older. This is a four-week course, generally offered each spring. Parents and students are required to attend the class all four weeks. Classes are spent discussing sin, confession, baptism, and communion with the end of each class devoted to one-on-one time between parents and students talking about faith. At the completion of the class, parents have an opportunity to come with their children to the Table for Communion.
NOTE – Any student attending Confirmation classes at St. John must complete the First Communion Class before the Rite of Confirmation in the fall of their 9th grade year.
